
Hold a Bachelor’s Degree, Master’s Degree in Food Science and Engineering or other Academic Degree or University Professional Degree in a discipline related to the area of Food Engineering, accredit basic training in Engineering Sciences. They must also have the ability to understand the English language in written form, enabling them to read articles, books and access scientific databases.
The programme considers an admission during the first and second semester of the general postgraduate academic year. Applications will be made within the deadlines foreseen in the respective calls for applications, which will be published on the programme’s website. For admission, applicants must present the following background information and certifications:
1.- Application form for admission to the programme.
2.- Curriculum Vitae
3.- Copy of Identity Card or Passport
4.- Legalised photocopy of the Bachelor’s or Master’s degree and of the Study Plan taken to obtain it, in which the basic training in Engineering Sciences is accredited. In the case of foreign applicants, they may submit photocopies of the documents, but if the applicant is accepted, he/she will have to legalise the documents at the Chilean Embassy or Consulates in the country of origin and at the Ministries of Education and Foreign Affairs in our country, or apostille them from the countries that are parties to the Hague Apostille Convention, delivering them before the enrolment process.
5.- Undergraduate and/or Master’s degree transcript (original or legalised copy), indicating the scale used and the minimum passing score. In the case of using a grading scale other than 1 to 7, the home institution must issue a certificate stating the final passing grade, on a scale of 1 to 7.
6.- Undergraduate and/or Master’s degree graduation ranking certificate, as appropriate, indicating the applicant’s place in the total graduating class.
7.- Letter of intent, indicating the reasons for undertaking the programme and areas of thesis development of interest.
8.- Brief academic development project (maximum 1 page).
